About the Role
In this pivotal leadership role, you’ll be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of key Aboriginal Health programs, including the Aboriginal Complex Care Team and Aboriginal Hospital Liaison. You’ll also work in close partnership with other Nunyara services such as the Ngiyang Aboriginal Pregnancy, Child and Family Health Service, Aboriginal Palliative Care, and Aboriginal Cancer Care programs.
As a cultural and operational leader, you’ll support and guide staff, champion culturally safe and effective care, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality health services across the Central Coast. Your responsibilities will also include providing expert advice and cultural leadership, contributing to strategic planning, and supporting the implementation of Aboriginal Health priorities. You’ll play an important role in advising senior leaders on service development and resource planning, while also representing the District in interagency forums and building strong relationships with key stakeholders.

About You
- You identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person and are accepted by your community. This is an identified position under Section 14(d) of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
- You have a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and health issues, supported by relevant qualifications and/or management experience. You’re skilled in leading strategic planning and developing effective, culturally safe health programs.
- You’re an experienced leader with excellent communication skills and a proven ability to manage Aboriginal staff, collaborate with stakeholders, and deliver outcomes through strong partnerships and data-informed decision making.
