About the Role
This role requires travel to locations throughout the Central Coast region. This position will ensure case planning and treatment for Aboriginal clients is culturally safe and ensures engagement with clients, families and Aboriginal and mainstream agencies occurs to maximise outcomes.
The Aboriginal Health Clinician works as a key member of the newly established Assertive Case Management Team (ACM) which is a non-acute community Drug & Alcohol team who provide a comprehensive support for people who have chronic substance dependence and highly complex needs. The team provides intensive case management and holistic support to people 18 years and above where complex needs and comorbidities are impacting positive outcomes.
ACM provides recovery focused support as an alternative to inpatient care and offers an assertive outreach service where clients are treated in a least restrictive environment, either in the home or centre-based appointments. Clinical and cultural supervision and support will be provided by the Drug and Alcohol Service and Nunyara Aboriginal Health Service.

- Welfare Officer Level 1 and 2
- Social Worker Level 1 and 2
- Aboriginal Health Practitioner
- Psychologist

About You
- Minimum bachelor’s degree in relevant field and, where applicable, membership of the relevant association or registration with the relevant board, in one of the following disciplines: Social Work, Counselling or Welfare. Professionals who fall under the Health Professionals State Award will be employed at Level 1 or must provide evidence of appropriate clinical experience and knowledge to be appointed at a higher level in alignment with the award or Tertiary qualifications in Psychology and Registered with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)

- Current NSW Driver's License.
