About the role:
We have an exciting opportunity available for a CSSD Instrument Technician to join our Central Sterilisation Department at Armidale Rural Referral Hospital. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the provision of sterile instruments and equipment to Theatre, Wards, Allied Health Departments, and external agencies.
As a valued member of our dedicated CSSD team, you will contribute to the delivery of high-quality services to the theatres, Day Procedure Centre, and other clinical areas throughout the hospital.
The key responsibilities of the role include:

- Collection, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation, and delivery of all Reusable Medical Devices.
- Comply with current AS/NZ standard 4187 and GENCA Infection Control Guidelines.
- Operate associated equipment safely to ensure the quality of reprocessed RMDs.
- Provide Quality processed RMDs on time.
- Comply with hospital and CSSD policies and work instructions to provide a sustained high level of service.
- Working safely and harmoniously with the rest of the hospital team.
- Collection, decontamination, disinfection, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation, and delivery of all Reusable Medical Devices.
You will receive ongoing support and guidance from the CSSD Supervisor and the Nurse Unit Manager, ensuring you are well-equipped to maintain excellence in service delivery.

Requirements:
- Currently undertaking Certificate III in Sterilisation or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
