CASPAR Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 - ESMHS

1. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA)
2. Relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years experience working in a mental health clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification
3. Demonstrated experience working with young people experiencing an emerging mental disorder (including UHR for psychosis), and familiarity with contemporary mental health service delivery models for young people, including crisis intervention and family interventions
4. Demonstrated professional knowledge and judgement in providing complex care requiring advanced skills
5. Demonstrated experience in nursing interventions in community mental health including knowledge of psychopharmacological treatments, side effects and contraindications
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills with ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and with external providers.
7. Can demonstrate that strengths based practice and recovery principles are reflected in clinical interventions
8. Current NSW Drivers licence (Class C - Unrestricted)
