Selection Criteria
- Qualifications or work experience in a relevant area which includes health information management, health informatics, clinical coding, nursing oncology, allied health, anatomy and pathology.
- Knowledge of how to apply cancer coding and staging standards and rules, or the ability to learn and acquire this knowledge.
- Understanding principles of quality assurance and demonstrated commitment to processes used to monitor and enhance the quality and completeness of cancer notification.
- Demonstrated ability to ensure attention to detail when handling multiple tasks with conflicting timelines and deadlines.
- Sound keyboard skills and a demonstrated ability to use numerous PC based computer software applications simultaneously.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team whilst maintaining confidentiality and privacy.
