To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.


  1. Must have an undergraduate degree in a non‐nursing, non‐medical discipline & must hold a post‐graduate qualification in genetic counselling or have attained HGSA certification Part 1 & Part 2  
  2. Demonstrated experience in providing genetics services or working within a genetics unit or related area.
  3. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  4. Ability to work in a team environment in a tertiary health setting.
  5. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  6. Working experience of confidentiality issues in genetics.
  7. Understanding of the needs of cancer patients.
  8. Demonstrated experience with genetics databases.
