Cancer Genetics Counsellor (Lvl 1/2) - Perm FT
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria as thoroughly as possible.
- Must have an undergraduate degree in a non‐nursing, non‐medical discipline & must hold a post‐graduate qualification in genetic counselling or have attained HGSA certification Part 1 & Part 2
- Demonstrated experience in providing genetics services or working within a genetics unit or related area.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment in a tertiary health setting.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Working experience of confidentiality issues in genetics.
- Understanding of the needs of cancer patients.
- Demonstrated experience with genetics databases.
