The Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Program Coordinator is primarily responsible for this administrative management and coordination, the majority of which relates to weekly MDT meetings and Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Clinic.
The MDT meeting provides a pivotal platform for referrals, clinical discussion, diagnostic planning and education. High volumes of patients are reviewed at this meeting, requiring extensive planning, coordination and implementation of action items. Successful coordination and administrative management of the MDT meeting is essential to ensure high-level patient care and follow up. This position will be responsible for the coordination of all MDT meetings and will be required to engage with MDT members from a variety of disciplines to ensure timely service delivery.
The Bone & Soft Tissue Sarcoma Clinic is a multidisciplinary, high-volume clinic at RPA requiring extensive preparation and planning. This position will be responsible for preparing documentation required for the clinic and liaising with appropriate MDT specialists to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
This position will also be responsible for other administrative duties associated with the service.
- Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant professional experience in a medical or clinical hospital setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible, positive and collaborative approach.
- Understanding of confidentiality and the ability to handle confidential and sensitive information appropriately.
