What you'll be doing
Western Sydney Local Health District (WSLHD) Biomedical Engineering team delivers expert technical support for medical and electronic equipment. The team ensures reliable service across clinical settings, supporting patient care through innovation and precision.
In this role you will be:
- Maintaining and servicing medical equipment across WSLHD.
- Delivering customer-focused technical support.
- Supervising repair and preventative maintenance activities.
- Working closely with the Electromedical Operations Manager.
- Supporting WSLHD and external WS Biomedical clients.

Essential Criteria:
- License: Full driver's licence.
- Qualification: Advanced Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia or equivalent.
Selection Criteria:
- Advanced Diploma in Electronic Engineering or Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Engineering or Electrical/Electronic Engineering recognised by Engineers Australia or equivalent.
- Demonstrated knowledge, ability to fault find and repair of electrical/electronic medical equipment.
- Demonstrated ability to utilise computer software & database applications.
- Ability to lead, supervise, train and mentor team members by sharing knowledge and communicating with senior management.
- Advanced interpersonal and stakeholder management skills with an ability to effectively liaise with internal and external stakeholders such as nursing, medical and administrative staff and suppliers of services and components to the hospital.
- Understanding of the importance of safe work practices and knowledge of relevant Australian standards and how they apply in the hospital environment.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
