Associate Director Staff Health
We have an opportunity for an Associate Director Staff Health to lead and inspire health and wellbeing strategies across NSW Ambulance and work alongside committed stakeholders in a collaborative environment to foster positive organisational change.

Remuneration: $166,678 per annum to $186,448 per annum + 11.5 % super and benefits
Location: NSW Ambulance State Operations Centre, Sydney Olympic Park

ABOUT THE ROLE
The position is responsible for the development of targeted strategies and tools to build NSW Ambulance capacity to proactively identify and/or respond to situations involving concern about employee resilience and mental health including where an employee may be at risk of self-harm. The position is responsible for the efficient management of wellbeing programs, injury prevention programs and support services to families of staff.
The successful incumbent is required to proactively develop and implement performance indicators aligned to Government KPIs in the area of staff wellbeing.

ABOUT YOU
We are looking for candidates with the below experience and capabilities:
- Tertiary qualification(s) in a relevant field, or significant experience in people and culture, staff health and wellbeing leadership positions in large organisations.
- A deep and genuine commitment to staying abreast of wellbeing and staff support trends, and implementing best practice wellbeing and staff support in complex and matrixed organisations.
- Strong people leadership skills, including experience leading a team comprised of a number of varied professionals. Keen understanding of people management, including staff support, staff development, performance management, succession planning and managing underperformance when required.
- Significant subject matter expertise in Health and Wellbeing in large and complex organisations, including developing and implementing effective health and wellbeing strategies, policies and/or programs.
- Strong collaboration and relationship building skills with proven experience working across all organisational functions, including in clinical and non-clinical business units.
- Excellent communication skills and experience delivering engaging presentations to a range of stakeholders, including NSW Ambulance’s Executive Team and Strategic Advisory Board, policy development, ministerials and reporting.
- Adept at managing self and delivery of projects, problem solving, and managing conflicting priorities.
