What you'll be doing
The Assistant in Nursing is a multi-skilled role that is committed to assisting the day to day functions of the NETS service in the delivery of a high standard of neonatal and paediatric retrievals. This will be achieved by ensuring all necessary equipment, consumables and retrieval systems are available at all times. The Assistant in Nursing will work in collaboration with nursing, medical and operational staff under the supervision of Nursing Unit Manager. Decisions affecting overall management will remain the responsibility of the Nurse Manager.
  1. Holds a Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (HLT33115) or currently enrolled in second or third year of a tertiary nursing course
  2. Previous experience in a similar position in a healthcare facility
  3. Previous experience in handling and managing medical supplies and equipment
  4. Ability to work under pressure on a diverse range of tasks
  5. Demonstrated effective verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  6. Demonstrated commitment to working independently as well as working as member of a team
