About the Hospital

Wingham Community Hospital is a small but essential health service, providing a high standard of care to the local community. The Rehabilitation Unit supports 16 inpatients, plus outpatient and hydrotherapy services. We bridge the gap between acute care and community reintegration, focusing on holistic recovery and functional independence.


About the Role

As an Assistant in Nursing, you will:

  • Provide direct patient care, including all activities of daily living, under the supervision of Registered and Enrolled Nurses.
  • Collaborate with patients and families to support individual rehabilitation goals.
  • Be part of a multidisciplinary team delivering holistic, person-centred care.
  • Participate in both inpatient and outpatient services, including hydrotherapy.

Orientation will be provided, with one day at Manning Base Hospital (if required) and additional support at Wingham as needed.
