Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery. The Nepean Campus has recently experienced tremendous growth and aims to support communities within and outside of Sydney’s western suburbs, providing world-class clinical facilities, services, and care.
An exciting Permanent Part Time opportunity has become available as an Allied Health Assistant to join Nepean Hospital. The service is offering two roles within the service. The first role is within the Acute Ward (Orthopedics) every Friday (8 hours). The second role is every Saturday (8 hours) and Sunday (8 hours) within the Acute Mobility Wards (Orthopedics, Plastics and Neurosurgery).
The successful incumbent will be responsible for the provision of Allied Health Assistant support for Allied Health services at Nepean Hospital.

What you will bring to the role
- Certificate III or IV in Allied Health Assistance or relevant equivalent qualification or willingness to complete the required skills and competencies for the role.
- Demonstrated patient manual handling skills, knowledge and experience.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as a part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and operate with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise workload, meet deadlines and complete activities as delegated.
- Demonstrate computer literacy.
- Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work purpose travel.
