About the role
This permanent full-time position is available now. This position is responsible for providing support to the Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists working with the Calvary Transitional Aged Care Service in the delivery of health care services to patients under the direct, indirect or remote supervision of an Occupational Therapist and Physiotherapist, consistent with Calvary Health Care Kogarah and South Eastern Sydney Local Health District policies, procedures and standards
What you bring:
- Cert III / IV in Allied Health Assistance, or relevant qualifications in a Health-Related Field, or relevant work experience and a willingness to work towards certification, and a current working with children check.
- Experience working in a rehabilitation, aged or community setting, and a sensitivity to the psychosocial needs of older people and their carers.
- Demonstrated ability to be self-directed and work with minimum supervision, to organise work priorities, and to manage time effectively.
- Proven interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate across all levels of the organisation, and with internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated proficiency with computer applications including Microsoft office Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet Explorer and capacity to learn electronic health information systems.
- Knowledge and understanding of Work Health and Safety legislation and principles.
- Current unrestricted NSW Class C drivers licence (or equivalent), and a willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the position.
- Ability to work within the Mission and Values of Calvary Health Care Kogarah.
