A fantastic opportunity has become available for Assistant In Nursing who are looking for strong leaders to support their growth early on in their career.

 

Our Assistants in Nursing (AIN) provide support to the nursing team in an Acute Care environment as directed by the Registered Nurse/Midwife. The successful candidates will provide direct care activities to patients in accordance with the nursing care plan and under the supervision of a Registered Nurse/Midwife and assist Registered Nurse/Midwives and Enrolled Nurses with patient care interventions as directed and within the scope of practice.

Your role will contribute to collecting accurate health care information and maintaining accurate health care documentation as required and communicate effectively with patients and other health care team members in accordance with appropriate protocol.

What you will bring to the role:

  1. Certificate III in Health Services Assistance (Descriptor: Assisting in Nursing Work in Acute Care)
  2. Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
  3. Demonstrated evidence of being able to provide a person centred approach to patient care
  4. Demonstrated effective communication skills – written and verbal
  5. Previous recent experience working in an acute care setting
  6. Demonstrated evidence of complying with Immunisation category A
