The Role
The After Hours Nurse Manager is a key leadership role within Justice Health NSW that manages state-wide services and after-hours operations in Police Cells, Adult, Adolescent, and Hospital areas statewide. The After Hours Nurse Manager will provide operational and clinical leadership, offering professional advice and ensuring efficient operational management in the after-hours setting. The After Hours Nurse Manager works in consultation with the on-call executive to manage significant events after hours.
Essential Requirements
We are looking for a qualified health professional with:
- Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia.
- Tertiary qualifications in health management or working towards and/or combination of post graduate study and work experience
- Hold a current NSW Driver Licence
Our Location
The Justice Health and Forensic Mental Health Network (JHFMHN) operates across both metropolitan and rural New South Wales, providing healthcare services to individuals involved with the criminal justice and forensic mental health systems. This includes care in over 100 community, inpatient, and custodial settings statewide, encompassing urban, rural, and regional areas.
The role will be based out of Long Bay Hospital, the Long Bay Hospital is located in the Long Bay correctional complex in Malabar, the work location offers free onsite parking, gym and subsidised cafe options within the complex making life a little easier.
