What you'll be doing
This Nurse Manager role provides critical after-hours leadership across mental health services, ensuring quality patient care and effective staff coordination within NSW Health frameworks. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and supervise all clinical staff after hours, ensuring safe, quality care.
- Manage emergency responses and maintain efficient hospital operations.
- Support bed management and assume Patient Flow Manager duties when needed.
- Provide expert advice to executives on after-hours service operations.
- Oversee workforce management, policy implementation, and escalate HR issues.

Essential Requirements
Registration: Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration
Selection Criteria
- Registered Nurse (Division 1) with current AHPRA registration.
- Demonstrated high level interpersonal and communication skills.
- Demonstrated extensive experience in Mental Health.
- Previous nursing management experience, or equivalent in tertiary qualifications, and the ability to deal with complex and challenging situations.
- The capacity to work within a multi-disciplinary team and demonstrated leadership in change management and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated experience in staff management and performance within mental health resources and competing demands.
- Proficiency in the use of IT systems that support the role.
