What you'll be doing
This is a locum gastroenterology advanced training position for a trainee who is interested in undertaking specialty training focusing on  advanced hepatology/liver transplantation. The primary role is for the care of patients of the Liver Transplant Unit at RPAH.
  
In this role, duties include looking after Hepatology and Liver Transplant patients both as in-patients and in the ambulatory care setting. The position requires being part of an after-hours on-call roster.

  1. MBBS or equivalent, currently registered, or eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
  2. Completion of at least two years of RACP gastroenterology advanced training (or equivalent) prior to 2025 (preferred).
  3. Completion of the RACP Divisional written and clinical examination (may be considered).
  4. Interest in undertaking training in advanced hepatology.
  5. Experience in the care of complex patients with general gastroenterology, hepatobiliary, acute and chronic liver disease and pre and post liver transplant.
  6. Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  7. Demonstrated effective communication skills (written and verbal), clinical skills, judgement and expertise, teamwork, time management and problem-solving skills in a clinical setting.
