Merit Selection

NSW Health follows a merit-based recruitment and selection process as per Policy Directive PD2023_04 – Recruitment and Selection of Staff to the NSW Health Service.

Candidates will be assessed against the Essential Requirements and Selection Criteria for this position. Please ensure you read the position description prior to submitting an application.   1. Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team in the planning, delivery and coordination of patient care.
  3. High level communication skills, including the ability to convey, and adapt verbal and written information to a clinical and non-clinical audience
  4. Demonstrated good organisational and time management skills and ability to manage competing priorities in a complex environment.
  5. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
  6. Demonstrated high level independent clinical skills and judgement, with the ability to make sound decisions and problem solve with an awareness of limitations and ability to learn independently and modify behaviour accordingly.
  7. Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
  8. Demonstrated interest and commitment to further education and practice in Aged Care and Geriatric Medicine

Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases

To be employed by NSW Health you are required to provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specified Infectious Diseases Policy PD2024_015, this includes any amendments made from time to time.
