We are looking for a warm, grounded and capable Administration Officer to join our caring team in the Violence, Abuse and Neglect Services.
This role is so much more than admin—it’s about being a steady, respectful presence for people at some of the most vulnerable points in their lives.

About Us

You will join a multidisciplinary team made up of social workers, counsellors and Aboriginal Family Wellbeing staff. Together, we walk alongside people who have experienced or are at risk of violence, abuse, and neglect—offering safety, support, and trauma-informed care.
We are proud of our work, and we know it takes a whole team to do it well. That’s where you come in.

Your Impact

As our Administration Officer, you will be the calm and welcoming first point of contact for our service—whether that’s on the phone or in person. You’ll support the day-to-day running of the service and help ensure our team has what they need to care for others.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Answering calls from clients, service providers, and community members
  • Assisting with staff rosters, meeting scheduling, and minute taking
  • Helping to manage the facility, conduct WHS safety audits, and contribute to data collection
  • Assisting with procurement and general office management
  • Maintaining strict confidentiality and compassion in every interaction
  • Hours: Mon/Wed/Thu – 8-4:30pm are preferred but can be negotiated

Skills and Qualities

We are looking for someone who brings warmth and sensitivity to every interaction—someone who listens with compassion, responds without judgment, and communicates with calm confidence.

You will also have:

  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • The ability to work independently and take initiative
  • Excellent written and verbal communication
  • Comfortable reaching out and communicating openly with support networks
  • A high degree of confidentiality, discretion, and professionalism is essential
  • Previous administrative experience in a healthcare enviroment is highly valued

Why Work with Us?

This is a truly meaningful role where you’ll be part of a service that supports real healing and hope. You’ll work in a team that values honesty, kindness, cultural respect, and deep care for the people we serve. You will also receive,

  • Supported by experienced professionals who believe in teamwork, open communication, and looking out for one another.
  • Well-connected within a supportive administration network
  • 4 weeks annual leave (pro-rata for part time employees) and Paid parental leave (for eligible employees)
  • Access to Fitness Passport, Salary packaging options and Employee Assistance Program (EAP)
