What you'll be doing

This position provides a full time role (38 hours per week) to carry out, at a high standard a combination of reception, secretarial and administrative activities to assist the Geriatric Medicine Department.

 

The role requires the successful applicant to work alongside a fellow Administration Officer to share tasks in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment.

  • Position is based at Cumberland Hospital site with access to beautifully restored buildings on historical grounds, including Havenstone Café within walking distance. Easy access to public transport including Light rail and free on-site parking available to staff.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Effective interpersonal & highly developed Communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain relationships with clients and health professionals.
  2. Excellent time management and organisational skills with attention to detail
  3. Previous experience working in health setting.
  4. Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative
  5. Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy
  6. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in all clerical skills and data entry, including use of Microsoft Office (Word &Excel), IPM and internal databases as required.
  7. Willingness to learn and perform clerical duties across all services within Geriatric Medicine as required
  8. Knowledge of Medical Terminology
