About the Opportunity
South Western Sydney Local Health District is seeking a motivated and organised Secretary to join our dedicated team at the Sexual Health Clinic, part of the Primary and Community Health services, for an initial 6-month contract (with a possibility of extension). This vital role provides high-level administrative and clerical support to ensure the smooth operation of the clinic, contributing to the delivery of confidential, respectful, and inclusive care to our diverse community.

The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication and organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a busy healthcare environment. Experience in a clinical or health setting and a commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and professional integrity are essential.

What You'll Be Doing
The Administration / Secretary – for Liverpool Sexual Health Service will provide efficient and effective administration and secretariat support to the Medical Director Sexual Health Services SWSLHD.

Where You'll Be Working 
SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney. 

These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities. 

With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live.

  1. Please outline your relevant administrative qualifications and/or experience, including your ability to provide high-level secretarial and administrative support to a Manager or Director.
  2. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including managing multiple priorities and contribute effectively to team goals in a high-volume environment.
  3. Demonstrated ability to support workforce administrative processes, including recruitment, rostering, and leave planning. Please include any systems or tools you have used previously to support these functions.
  4. Demonstrated ability to use a variety of Microsoft Office applications and other electronic systems in an administrative setting, including your ability to adapt to new systems.
