Located in South Bowenfels, the Lithgow Campus is considered as a comprehensive community health centre supporting approximately 20,000 people living in the town and surrounding areas. The services available in Lithgow hospital include Domiciliary care unit, Emergency department, Geriatric assessment unit, Obstetric services, Paediatric service, Drug and Alcohol unit.
Lithgow Health Service is seeking for Administration Officers to join their dynamic team. This role will see you provide front-line reception / clerical duties using a customer focused and friendly approach.
The Administration Officer manages incoming calls, telephone enquiries, and maintain a 'live' environment in iPMS and Cerner First databases (admissions, transfers, patient registrations, outpatient clients). Key duties include typing and word processing and undertaking data collection, data entry, and report preparation as required.

What you will bring to the role:
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment and adapt to changing work environments
- Proven capacity to prioritise and multi task ,with the ability to work in a high volume and demanding environment
- Accurate Data entry and work processing skills and experience with data entry skills (patient registrations, patient data collection)
- Demonstrated ability to relate effectively within a multi-disciplinary team, and a variety of people
- Previous front line customer service experience in health related position
