What you'll be doing 
Join our team as an Administration Officer (Ward Clerk) and play a vital role in supporting daily ward/unit operations, delivering high-quality admin services to staff, patients and visitors under the direction of the Nurse/Unit Manager.

  • Provide admin support across wards and health facilities
  • Interact with patients, staff and visitors in a courteous manner
  • Manage patient data systems, filing and documentation
  • Maintain a clean, welcoming reception and visitor area
  • Assist with supplies, pharmacy deliveries and patient property

  1. Effective communication skills including accurate spelling, good comprehension, confidence in the spoken word and ability to deal confidently and courteously with people at all levels.
  2. Demonstrated experience in word processing, spreadsheet and database software.
  3. Strong organisational skills and ability to meet deadlines.
  4. Capacity to work under broad supervision and to undertake a diverse range of tasks as an effective member of a team in a high pressure, high volume work environment.
  5. Proven experience dealing with patients/Clients and their families/carers.
