Join the Tablelands Acute Care Team and play a pivotal role in providing initial assessments and intensive follow-up interventions within a trauma-informed and recovery-focused framework. This role involves active engagement and communication with key stakeholders, including GPs, families, NDIS, and other private practitioners and services. This is an exceptional opportunity for a mental health clinician eager to gain experience on an Acute Mental Health Team in a rural setting. You will be part of a small, multidisciplinary team and benefit from working alongside senior clinicians in a supportive learning environment.
The Tablelands Acute Care Team is conveniently co-located with the Armidale Community Mental and general health services at the Armidale Community Health Centre, less than 1 km from the CBD. The position offers a 7-day rotating shift roster with no night shifts, ensuring a balanced work schedule.
About you:
We are seeking a clinician with strong skills in assessment and treatment planning, as well as the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Our ideal candidate will have or be in the process of developing a comprehensive range of clinical skills, demonstrating proficiency in managing time and prioritising tasks efficiently.
Your ability to engage with clients and stakeholders, combined with your commitment to a trauma-informed and recovery-focused approach, will be crucial in this role. Requirements:
- Must hold a qualification in one of the following: Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Nursing, Social Work, which provides eligibility or membership of the relevant professional association / provisional or general registration through the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.
- Eligibility to drive in NSW and interstate and the willingness to travel in the course of employment.
