About The Opportunity
Elevate your career by joining SWSLHD District Finance RPP Unit and Travel as our HSM 1 Accountant to manage the RPP and TESL System application. This is a dynamic role where you will be at the forefront of driving our RPP compliance and process improvement, becoming an integral member of our District Finance team. This position is responsible for managing the accounting of Rights of Private Practice (RPP) activities, including Staff Specialist billings, drawings, and medical indemnity insurance reimbursements. The incumbent will also be responsible for VMO accrual and expenditure reporting and various RPP GL Reconciliations, and act as District Admin for TESL applications and RPP System.
What You'll Be Doing
The purpose of the position is to manage the Rights of Private Practice (RPP) accounting for Staff Specialists Billings, Drawings, Medical Indemnity Insurance reimbursements and TESL. The incumbent will be responsible for updating, monitoring and calculating RPP entitlements, manage the income and expenditure associated with Rights of Private Practice and associated General Ledger reconciliations.

- Relevant qualifications in accounting, commerce, finance or demonstrated work experience in accounting, commerce or finance.
- Experience and understanding of the rights of private practice arrangement and trust accounting.
- Be familiar with relevant NSW Health Policies governing private practice arrangements and TESL.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage high-volume workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
- Be experienced with NSW Health financial management systems and MS Office applications, with the ability to learn new systems as required.
