What you'll be doing
Join the Whole Family Team as a Drug and Alcohol Clinician, delivering targeted care to vulnerable families through outreach and multidisciplinary support. Your responsibilities will also include:
- Providing expert care planning and therapeutic interventions
- Supporting families with complex drug, alcohol & mental health needs
- Working within a skilled, multidisciplinary outreach team
- Focusing on child protection, parenting and family wellbeing
- Aligning practice with the Whole Family Team Model of Care

Essential Criteria:
- Qualification: Bachelor Degree in Counselling, Social Work or related discipline.
Selection Criteria:
- Demonstrated professional competency (minimum 3 years) in delivery of a broad range of psycho-social treatment interventions to substance using clients.
- An understanding of the principles of family focused integrated treatment including safety planning and risk assessment.
- Experience managing, building and sustaining collaborative partnerships with government and/or non-government organisations (including work with referral pathways)
- Experience in drug and alcohol clinical assessment and interventions to patients with complex presentations.
- Experience in providing service coordination services in Drug and Alcohol or Mental Health setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and and collaboratively with another clinician as a member of multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated ability to operate in a demanding environment with a proven capacity to work autonomously, prioritise and meet deadlines.
- License: Current valid NSW Driver’s License and willingness to travel within and outside the Local Health District as required.
