What you'll be doing
Perform molecular genetic techniques and interpretation such as, PCR and PCR design, DNA sequence analysis and interpretation, massively parallel sequencing (MPS) and interpretation of MPS data, operation of automated liquid handlers and other equipment, as required within the Molecular Genetics Department.
  1. Science Degree, with subjects including molecular biology and genetics.
  2. Laboratory experience in molecular genetics or molecular biology.
  3. Experience in DNA sequence and fragment analysis.
  4. Experience in PCR techniques and design.
  5. Experience in mutation analysis and interpretation.
  6. Experience with automated liquid handlers is desirable.
  7. Experience in a diagnostic laboratory and familiarity with NATA accreditation and ISO 15189 is desirable.
  8. Ability to work in a team environment.
