Join South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) as the District Director Strategy, Planning and Research and play a pivotal role in advancing innovative clinical, research and strategic business projects.

In this senior executive role, you will lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of strategic initiatives that optimise healthcare delivery, foster key partnerships, and drive evidence-based service improvements. You’ll work collaboratively across sectors, from government agencies to community organisations, to deliver impactful health outcomes for our diverse community.
What You'll Be Doing
- Lead and manage high-priority strategic projects and initiatives across the our large and diverse Health district.
- Build and sustain strategic partnerships with local, state, and national stakeholders.
- Oversee the development and evaluation of business cases and service plans to maximise resource investment.
- Drive SWSLHD’s research strategy, in collaboration with academic and clinical partners.
- Guide the team through organisational change and service innovations.

- Please describe your experience in senior or executive management within a large, complex organisation. What leadership responsibilities have you held, and how have your tertiary qualifications or equivalent experience contributed to your effectiveness in these roles?
- Describe your experience with strategic and business planning at a senior or executive level. How have you developed, implemented, and evaluated strategic plans in a healthcare setting?
- Outline how you have built and maintained effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders, such as government agencies, universities, healthcare providers, and community groups.
- Share an example of a strategic health service development or organisational change initiative that you have overseen or led. What were the key strategies you employed to drive the initiative, and how did you ensure alignment with broader organisational goals?
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
