Where you'll be working

Ryde Hospital

Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
The Ryde Hospital Redevelopment will result in new health facilities and enhanced services including emergency, ICU/critical care, inpatient units, outpatient/ambulatory care services and much more.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.



What you'll be doing

The role of the Support Services Manager is to manage cleaning, wardspersons, linen and waste services at Ryde Hospital with a commitment to high quality and cost-effective services. The main purpose of this position is to ensure that: the hospital is kept clean; patients are transported by wardspersons in a timely fashion; adequate linen supply is maintained, and waste removal processes are efficient and sustainable. The position has the overall responsibility for managing the support services team and ensuring the delivery of high-quality  services within the allocated budgets.



People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.


Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. A relevant qualification and/or experience in the managing of Support Services or similar, preferably in a health care setting.
  2. Proven financial management skills and demonstrated ability to meet service delivery targets and KPIs within allocated budget and agreed timeframes.
  3. Demonstrated organisational skills with an ability to set priorities and monitor work flow under limited direction, supporting patient flow and Key Performance Indicators (KPI).
  4. Comprehensive understanding of the policies, standards, and guidelines applicable to delivery of support services in a healthcare setting.
