Lead with purpose and support exceptional patient care alongside the perioperative leadership team.
About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and well-organised leader to join our team as a TSSU Manager. In this role, you will be overseeing the reprocessing of reusable medical devices for Sydney/Sydney Eye Hospital. You will be responsible for managing TSSU Technical Staff, fostering their professional development, and supporting the implementation and maintenance of the quality management system.

Selection Criteria
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Possession of a Sterilizing Technology Course Certificate through a recognised Australian based training provider to not less than level 2 or relevant equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience.
- Relevant tertiary qualification in management or relevant equivalent work experience or a combination of study and work experience.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the requirements of Australian/New Zealand standard 4187-2014 "Reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMD) in health service organizations", and amendments. Knowledge of national standards and their applicability to sterilizing practice. Thorough understanding of operating theatre RMD logistics.
- Management and/or supervisory experience in leading technical staff in areas of sterilizing practice include developing and managing performance of staff, quality support in centralised and satellite operating areas where RMD's are reprocessed.
- Understanding of Work, Health and Safety practices.
- Preparedness to work flexible business hours and variations according to extra ordinary demands of a 24/7 service.
- Understanding of Infection Control practices and hand hygiene protocol.
- Demonstrated computer skills, particularly Microsoft office suite, rostering, procurement, electronic tracking and incident management and any other business relevant applications routinely used in the course of daily computer based tasks.
