The Clinical Superintendent in Medicine will also undertake clinical responsibilities (up to 0.5FTE) in a clinical discipline relevant to their specialist qualifications (subject to approval by the SLHD Medical and Dental Appointments Advisory Committee) and will participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the respective specialty Department and Hospital as required.
The Clinical Superintendent in Medicine will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encourage an academic environment which supports education, wellbeing, research and professional development.
There is potential to extend for a further one clinical year period subject to satisfactory performance and support of both Director Medical Services and the clinical Head of Department.
Salary and conditions are in accordance with the NSW Staff Specialist (State) Award.
