About the Opportunity
This is an exciting opportunity for a Speech Pathologist to join the Chronic Disease Palliative Care multidisciplinary team. The position is based at Redfern Community Health Centre. The role involves the provision of a community-based service across Sydney Local Health District.
The Speech Pathologist is expected to provide a high-quality service to patients/clients and carers with a life limiting illness. This will be done through community-based care mainly in the home and at times, virtually as appropriate for the patient/ carer's needs. You will be responsible for providing comprehensive assessment, diagnosis and management of communication, and education and management of dysphagia with a focus on comfort and safe swallowing at end of life for both patients and carers.

Ideal Candidate
- Bachelor or post graduate degree in Speech Pathology that provides eligibility for full membership of Speech Pathology Australia, with experience at Level 2 or higher.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of clinical care across a wide range of practice areas within Speech Pathology, including late stage degenerative and chronic conditions and palliative care.
- Current NSW Driver's Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable).
