About the role:
Our Imaging Department at Manning Hospital is seeking a qualified Sonographer to join our friendly and enthusiastic team in a brand new, purpose-built, and expanded radiology department. This is a fantastic opportunity to join our dedicated team and provide patient-centred imaging services across of range of clinical areas to patients and carers of the Manning region, whilst ensuring optimal health outcomes for patients of the service.
This is a temporary position to cover maternity leave, initially for a period of 12 months. However, there is a strong possibility of ongoing opportunities within the department, as returning to full-time hours is flexible post-maternity leave. About you:

- The ability to actively engage with patients/clients to understand their needs and enhance service delivery
- Be patient-oriented, have excellent communication skills and enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Exceptional organisational skills and will be able to prioritise a varied workload.
- Be able to perform a range of examinations to a high standard with the application of analysis and problem-solving skills
- As part of a strong team, you will benefit from working with other experienced health professionals.
You may be a qualified Sonographer with ASAR accreditation and qualifications in ultrasound, or alternatively, you may possess dual qualifications and be a qualified Radiographer/Sonographer.
Requirements:
- Degree in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography) or equivalent. Eligible for registration with Australian Health Professionals Registration Authority (AHPRA), hold/ current NSW EPA Radiation licence and ASAR accreditation.
- Post graduate qualification in Medical Sonography and registration with the Australian Sonographers Accreditation Registry (ASAR).
- Participate in the Rosters, overtime and on-call duties as required by the site, and which may change from time to time.
