Social Worker Level 3 - Emergency Department - Goulburn
Selection Criteria
- Tertiary qualification as a Social Worker and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
- Feminine gender is a genuine occupational requirement (Section 31 Anti-Discrimination Act 1977).
- Demonstrated skills and experience in crisis support and ongoing counselling, with a focus on the provision of trauma informed responses to victims of interpersonal trauma and their non-offending family members and a high level of clinical knowledge and skills around recent significant trauma including sudden death, victims of crime and road trauma who present to a hospital or health care setting in crisis.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective, strong and professional community networks.
- Demonstrated high level communication (written and oral), negotiation and advocacy skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise work; manage and respond to stressful situations and the ability to work unsupervised.
- Ability to effectively prioritise and organise professional development, quality improvement and evidence based practice.
- Evidence of a current unrestricted drivers’ licence and the ability to maintain. Ability and willingness to drive/travel as the role requires. This may involve driving long distances and overnight stays
