What you'll be doing
The Senior Clinical Psychologist, Eating Disorders is part of a specialist multidisciplinary team responsible for the provision of consultation liaison, peer consultation and mentoring, supervision and workforce capability development in the area of eating disorders across SESLHD.
The Eating Disorders Clinical Support Team will also provide a mix of rehabilitative clinical and psychosocial interventions delivered either virtually or face-to face to consumers and their family who would benefit from a period of higher intensity support that supplements existing service provision. Within the team, the Senior Clinical Psychologist will provide evidence-based assessment and therapeutic interventions including group therapies. They will also develop and implement quality evaluation of clinical outcomes of the specialist team.
The role involves clinical leadership, clinical supervision, education, quality improvement and service development in collaboration with the Eating Disorders Program Lead.

Selection Criteria:
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the below questions as thoroughly as possible.
- Current Registration as a Psychologist with AHPRA, along with endorsement in Clinical Psychology and a minimum two-year full-time accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology. Successful applicant must have at least five years of clinical experience as a Psychologist, including 3 years with full Endorsement.
- Demonstrated knowledge of disordered eating, body image and related social and cultural issues with extensive understanding of the clinical expertise required in the identification, assessment, diagnosis, care planning, management and treatment of adults and/or young people.
- Extensive contemporary post-graduate knowledge and clinical experience in the provision of individual and group clinical psychology interventions for eating disorders, such as Maudsley Family-Based Therapy, Enhanced Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy. Willing to be trained in the breadth of best practice therapies for Eating Disorders.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making, conflict resolution and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
- Demonstrated experience in research, quality improvement and/or service evaluation.
- Demonstrated experience and ability to liaise, consult and educate on medical and/or mental health issues with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work in a multidisciplinary team.
- Current unrestricted NSW Class C driver’s license and willingness to travel.
