Selection Criteria

  1. Completion of an accredited Pharmacy degree, eligibility for Intern Pharmacist registration with AHPRA and enrolment in an Intern Training Program.
  2. Demonstrated good knowledge of pharmacology and therapeutics and the ability to apply this knowledge in practical situations to achieve safe and efficient quality of care.
  3. Effective verbal and written communication skills including medication counselling to enable a patient and/or carer to safely and effectively administer medicines.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team and independently with limited supervision to meet team objectives.
  5. Demonstrated initiative and the ability to problem solve.
  6. Good understanding of the role of the Hospital Pharmacist in achieving positive healthcare outcomes.
  7. Proven commitment to professional development and continuing education.
