About The Opportunity

Bankstown Hospital is recruiting for a Senior Technical Officer to complement and enhance the current Neurophysiology Team. 


What you'll be doing

The Senior Technical Officer is responsible for skilfully performing all tests associated with clinical neurophysiological investigation and monitoring including interpreting normal and abnormal test results with appropriate follow up action.
 
The position involves formulating EEG reports and entering reports into the hospital database as well as ensuring the smooth and efficient operating of the department including maintaining the equipment in the department.

How to Apply

  1. Minimum qualification RMIT Diploma of Clinical Neurophysiology or equivalent.
  2. Experience and highly competent in performing Electroencephalography (EEG) using digital EEG recording systems.
  3. Competent in interpreting routine, sleep, telemetry Electroencephalography (EEG) in adult, paediatric and neonate.
  4. Highly competent in performing Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS) and assisting in Electromyography (EMG).
  5. Experience ln performing quality Evoked Potentials.
  6. Demonstrate competent level of computer literacy.
  7. Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
