The Pharmaceutical Services Unit (PSU) operates within the Legal and Regulatory Services Branch of the NSW Ministry of Health.

 

Our primary goal is to ensure the safe and regulated use of medicines and poisons in NSW. We do this through administration of the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Act 1966 (NSW) and the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods Regulation 2008 (NSW).

 

 Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693 - $138,510 pro-rata plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 14-hour work week.

What you'll be doing

 

In this role, you will provide specialist advice and support the implementation of strategies and projects to achieve compliance with the Poisons and Therapeutic Goods legislation in respect of the storage, prescribing, dispensing, supply and administration of medicines and the storage and supply of poisons throughout the NSW community.

 

This can include the development, review and evaluation of policy and strategy to address current and emerging regulatory issues, as well as the provision of specialist advice to internal and external stakeholders to support best practice in the safe and quality use of medicines and poisons.
