The integration services team provides a critical service ensuring that our clinicians across NSW health have access to the appropriate information from other systems in providing care. The interoperability that connects local systems to the state and nationally is what we do each and every day and designing innovative solutions that ensure information is available at the right place and right time.

We have an exciting opportunity in the Integration Services team for a Senior Integration Analyst.

Reporting into the Acting Manager of Integration Services you will develop, maintain and support a complex integration framework responsible for interconnecting applications that enable eHealth customers to positively contribute to patient care and improved patient outcomes.]. Working closely with NSW Health Local Health Districts platform and system teams, eHealth teams and a number of vendors who are all involved and focussed on ensuring interoperability between systems, at a local and state level.

What you will do

As an integral member of the Clinical Repositories and Integration Services Team, you will:

  • Provide highly specialised technical expertise, guidance, sound advice and recommendations under the framework that contributes to improved patient care and outcomes.
  • Suggest and implement continuous improvement initiative focused on supporting the team to meet current and future challenges.
  • Develop and support interfaces to integrate healthcare applications using a variety of integration engines such as: JCAPS, e*Gate, Rhapsody, MuleSoft.
  • Develop HL7 V2, CDA, FHIR, Restful and SOAP interfaces supporting A2A, B2B and B2C applications in the Health Care environment.
  • Lead and participate in formal and informal settings to develop organizational knowledge and understanding requirements in relation to development are understood and documented, all relevant parties are informed on the progress of incidents, problems and requests.
  • Design and ensure new interfaces meet organisational privacy, security frameworks, align to HA and disaster recovery redundancy organizational capabilities.
  • Develop and maintain documentation on functional and system requirements.
  • Develop software using a combination of cloud technologies like ECS, SQS, Kubernetes, Fargate, AWS Lambda, Docker, JavaScript.

About you

We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:

  • Experience in developing and maintaining data integration solutions in a Health setting
  • Excellent technical skills working across a range of web, server, database, mobile and integration languages and technologies, preferably MuleSoft, .Net, NodeJS, Java
  • Expert in driving integration initiatives with skills in planning, change management, performance improvement, and system testing and quality assurance, preferably with a knowledge and experience working with healthcare systems eg HL7, CDA, FHIR standards.
  • The ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development
  • The ability to work in a dynamic team environment
  • Open minded and Team Player attitudes are fundamental to contribute on the team success that that directly contributes to improved patient care and outcomes.
