What you'll be doing
The Senior Epidemiologist will lead the Epidemiology and Bioprepardeness team and manage research activities.
The position works in partnership with other parts of North Coast Population and Public Health in undertaking disease surveillance and generating epidemiological, research and performance data that can inform planning, prevention and service delivery.

Salary will be accordance with NSW Health State Awards for the advertised classification/s.  These awards are available at http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/careers/conditions/pages/default.aspx.

A TALENT POOL MAY BE CREATED FOR FUTURE ROLES AND WILL REMAIN VALID FOR 18 MONTHS.


 
  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications in a relevant field or extensive relevant experience in a large and diverse service industry organisation, or a combination of study and work experience.
  2. Demonstrated excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills including highly developed ability to consult, negotiate and delegate effectively with a diverse range of people
  3. Excellent organisational, analytical and complex problem solving skills with the ability to effectively manage competing priorities to ensure quality outcomes and timely delivery of services
  4. Highly developed and effective management and conflict resolution skills
  5. Advanced computer skills utilising varied and appropriate software programs (eg word processing, data management systems and spreadsheets)
  6. Current Drivers Licence and ability to travel as required
