Senior Clinician (male) Adult Survivors Program

This is a position identified for males on the basis of a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under Section 31 of the NSW Anti-Discrimination Act 1977.
This is a Temporary Full Time 38 hours per week position until 30 June 2025 with the possibility of extension at same/reduced hours, subject to funding. Job share will be considered for this role.

Then you could be the perfect person to join the ISLHD Adult Survivors Program located on the lands of the Dharawal and Yuin nations. We’re looking for Senior Clinician (male)– who:
· Has a degree in Social Work or Psychology and full AHPRA registration
· A minimum of 3 years relevant clinical experience post-graduation providing trauma informed services with people who have experienced trauma (namely child/adult sexual assault, family and domestic violence), including psychosocial assessments, crisis interventions, risk assessment and safety planning, advocacy, psychoeducation, therapeutic counselling and group work.
· Understands the impact of colonisation, patriarchy and other social political systems that have impacted Aboriginal peoples’ experience of violence and abuse
· Support development, promotion, and facilitation of training
· Has knowledge and understanding of the impacts of trauma and can provide supervision, profession development and education

The program aims to improve outcomes for adult survivors of child sexual abuse, with a particular focus on survivors of complex trauma with mental health, alcohol and other drug support needs. The position is part of a team with a Project Manager and Clinical Coordinator and Aboriginal Wellbeing Worker.
