About the Role
Formed in 1882, Royal Prince Alfred Hospital (RPAH) is a major metropolitan tertiary referral hospital and a principal provider of specialist healthcare. It remains one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities.
    
To contribute, as a self-reliant member of the Internal Audit Team, to the comprehensive internal audit function by performing assigned reviews of systems and processes, providing professional and informed advice and information on control, risk and governance issues in order to add value to the effective operation of the Local Health District and Far West Local Health District.

Ideal Candidate

  • Tertiary qualifications, current membership of the Australian Society of CPAs, the Institute of Chartered Accountants, the Institute of Internal Auditors or relevant experience. Must have a current NSW Drivers Licence (P1 and P2 acceptable) and be willing to travel throughout Sydney Local Health District and to Far West Local Health District locations.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of relevant government policies and regulations, accounting, audit standards, fraud and corruption prevention and relevant legislations
  • Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience in auditing the corporate and clinical environments and information technology relevant to the nature of these audits.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in conducting internal reviews and investigations with a proven ability to successfully plan, manage and lead concurrent assignments within deadlines.
