A temporary Research Scientist is sought for 0.4FTE (15 hours per week) to restore established cell lines at the Renal Research Laboratory at Kolling Institute, at the Royal North Shore Hospital campus, and to conduct laboratory experiments including both in vitro and animal studies.
Employment Type: Temporary Part Time until 20 April 2026 (with possibility of ongoing employment)

Remuneration: $37.04 - $52.83 per hour

What you'll be doing
Conduct medical laboratory experiments in the Renal Research Laboratory as directed by senior staff
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- A degree in science from an approved university or college of advanced education requiring a minimum of three years full-time study or such qualifications as the employer deems equivalent.
- Experience in a medical research laboratory environment, including animal studies.
- Experience with molecular biology techniques such as RNA and protein extractions, quantitative RT-PCR, Immunohistochemistry, Western blotting, cell culture, flowcytometry and ELISA.
