What you'll be doing
This role offers a fantastic opportunity for a researcher to join the Cardiology Department and support cutting-edge cardiac ultrasound research. Ideal for a researcher with some experience looking to grow in the field. You'll be part of a dynamic team working on both human and animal studies, coordinating existing and new projects. In this role you will:
- Coordinate cardiac ultrasound research projects in the Cardiology Department.
- Assist with current ongoing research projects and new studies.
- Contribute to impactful work in a collaborative, innovative environment.

Essential Criteria:
- Qualifications: Certificate IV in Pathology or Diploma in Laboratory Technology or an equivalent qualification from a recognised tertiary institution with subjects relevant to pathology or medical laboratory operations.
Selection Criteria:
- Ability to work with minimal supervision and use initiative.
- Excellent interpersonal verbal and written communication skills.
- Advanced computing skills and experience in using scientific and statistical programs including performing literature searches and using End Note for creation of references.
- Demonstrated previous clinical / non-clinical research experience.
- Demonstrate ability to organise and prioritise own and if relevant teams work load and to meet specific research milestones and deadlines.
- Demonstrated experience in experimental protocols including willingness to work with animal experiments.
- Understanding of the management of patient complaints and patient privacy.
- Excellent analytical, problem solving skills.
