About the role:

Join our supportive oncology team where you'll be guided by CNEs, CNCs, TNPs, and experienced nurses in the treatment room. You'll receive full orientation and work supernumerary to ease into your new role. We value open communication, regular discussions, and offer opportunities for further education. As part of our cohesive, caring team, you'll enjoy a fun, celebratory atmosphere with regular morning teas, lunches, and catch-ups outside of work. Plus, we love wearing fun scrubs!

  • You have the ability to deliver quality, efficient, and person-centred care to meet the needs of patients and their families or carers.
  • You can act as an advocate, helping patients and their families/carers make informed decisions.
  • You are capable of providing supervision and mentoring for staff, including students on clinical placements.
  • You possess the skills to work effectively with patients who exhibit challenging behaviours.
  • You manage your time efficiently to ensure the needs of patients and their families or carers are met.
  • You are skilled at regulating conflicting priorities to ensure the delivery of patient-centred care.

Where you’ll be working:

Taree, located on the banks of the Manning River, is a vibrant town that serves as the heart of the Manning Valley, offering easy access to the region’s stunning national parks and beautiful beaches along the Barrington Coast. Situated just two hours north of Newcastle and one hour south of Port Macquarie, Taree is perfectly positioned for those looking to explore some of New South Wales’ most picturesque landscapes.

Our 6-chair outpatient unit operates Monday to Friday during the morning shift and includes an additional 2-chair Infusion Lounge. Designed to deliver high-quality care in a compassionate, supportive environment, we prioritise patient comfort and well-being. Free parking is available.
