About the role:

Muswellbrook Hospital is seeking committed and innovative Registered Nurses to join our team in the General Ward, with potential future opportunities to expand into Emergency and peri-operative services. The role will involve working within a flexible, rotating roster system, caring for both medical and surgical patients. Ideal candidates will have recent experience in acute care, a passion for delivering quality, holistic care, and the ability to advocate for patients while communicating effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Compassion and strong interpersonal skills are key qualities we seek in applicants for this rewarding position.


Where you’ll be working:

Muswellbrook Hospital is located within the Hunter Lower Mid-North Coast Region of the Hunter New England Local Health District (HNELHD) and offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and skill development. We provide a wide range of public health services to the Upper Hunter community. As a member of our team, you will have access to orientation, salary packaging options, educational opportunities, and support from a network of health professionals. 

The nursing team includes a diverse group of Registered and Enrolled Nurses with varying levels of experience, supported by a Nurse Unit Manager and Clinical Nurse Educators. The hospital also has access to a Medical Officer 24/7, 365 days a year.   • An eligibility list will be created for future permanent full or part time and temporary full or part time vacancies.
