Where You Will Be Working:
Singleton Maternity is a Level 2 Maternity service with the capability to provide Level 3 care on select days. This offers a unique opportunity to work across your full scope of midwifery practice within a collaborative midwifery and GP/Obstetrician model of care.

About the role:
As a midwife at Singleton Maternity, you will provide safe, compassionate, woman-centred care within the maternity service, ensuring that care is delivered in partnership with women and their families. You will take a leadership role in coordinating midwifery care, working collaboratively with Registered Nurses, Student Midwives and the multidisciplinary team. Acting as an advocate, you will support women and their families in making informed decisions regarding their maternity care.
You will plan and evaluate midwifery care based on assessment findings, priorities, and established goals, ensuring continuity of care. Making appropriate referrals to support women’s needs upon discharge will be a key responsibility. This role allows you to work across the entire scope of midwifery practice, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal care.

- A current registration as a Registered Midwife with AHPRA.
- An eligibility list will be created for future permanent part time and temporary part time vacancies.
- To be eligible for permanent employment in this position you must be an Australian Citizen, or a permanent resident of Australia, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand Passport. Employment of a temporary visa holder may only occur if no suitable local candidate is identified for the position; in this instance, you may only be offered employment in line with the conditions and expiry date of your visa.
