What You'll Be Doing
This role is part of the Keeping Well in Community Project team at SWSLHD and will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders including the Project Manager Keeping Well in Community, Director Keeping Well in Community and various other Primary and Community Health stakeholders.
SWSLHD Primary & Community Health provides a comprehensive range of community-based services designed to improve and maintain the health and wellbeing of individuals and communities across South Western Sydney.
These services include prevention, early intervention, assessment, acute and post-acute treatment, health maintenance, and continuing care. The team supports diverse populations, offering specialised programs for children, young people, older adults, and at-risk communities.
With over 800 dedicated staff, including Aboriginal Health Workers, nurses, doctors, and allied health professionals, the service ensures high-quality care close to where people live.

- Tertiary qualifications in science, health or related field, or relevant work experience. Experience working within a project environment with the ability to organise and prioritise tasks in a high volume and demanding environment with a proven ability to prioritise competing timelines and achieve results.
- Demonstrated high competence in the use of computer applications including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook
- Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an ability to interact effectively with staff at various levels and external stakeholders to establish and maintain effective collaborative relationships.
- Ability to work independently, including demonstrated autonomy in identifying and responding to emerging and unforeseen issues.
- Demonstrated skills and experience in change management and project management including the ability to plan, design, implement, monitor and evaluate of new programs and services for improved care.
- Demonstrated extensive practical knowledge of clinical systems and health services, including a strong understanding of acute care, community health and primary care.
- Sound problem solving skills and high-level analytical skills including the ability to analyse, interpret and present information to inform decision making, deal with challenges creatively and achieve business focused solutions.
- Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
