Pharmacy Technicians provide vital technical support to the Pharmacy Department across all areas of pharmacy practice. In this Cancer Services role, you’ll be a key part of the team delivering oncology and haematology services, with responsibilities including:
- Aseptic preparation of chemotherapy and other sterile products
- Dispensing and distribution of medicines
- Ensuring the safe and accurate handling of high-risk medications
- Working collaboratively with pharmacists, assistants, medical and nursing teams
Technicians in our department also contribute to areas such as the Main Dispensary, Mental Health, and broader hospital services.

Ideal Candidate
- Completion of a Certificate III (Grade 1) or Certificate IV (Grade 2) in Hospital/Health Pharmacy Support or relevant qualifications deemed to be equivalent (preferably with competency in aseptic compounding or sterile manufacturing, or experience in cleanroom environments).
- Demonstrated high level of attention to fine details and accuracy at work.
- Proven ability to work independently and productively in a team environment.
