The Pharmacy Department at the recently-built Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, has a temporary (maternity leave relief) part-time pharmacist position available. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a new facility that has a supportive environment and an excellent work culture. This position will provide leave relief to various clinical areas so there is an opportunity to gain experience in a range of clinical areas.

Remuneration: $1543.43 - $2007.56 per week

Where you'll be working
You’ll be working mostly at Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital, but as the pharmacy at Mona Vale Hospital is also part of our team, the opportunity to work at the equally new wards at Mona Vale hospital is also part of the attraction for this position.
What you'll be doing
Provide and support the pharmacy services of Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Hospital and Mona Vale Hospital. We serve in- and out-patients; work closely with other health care professionals; provide education; support promotional activities and focus on enhancing medication safety throughout patient interactions with the hospital.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Must hold registration with the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
- Demonstrated well developed interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated computer literacy and ability to use health information systems.
- Demonstrated skills and knowledge in the provision of Pharmacy services to consumers, carers and families requiring medication reconciliation, dispensing and dosing.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritise and manage workload demands, meet deadlines and complete activities (including ability to work within scope of practice and seek assistance when required).
